Look, e got death! Look, we got a nihilistic doctor! Are we gonna do those elements with any particular amount of care? Kinda, sorta, it's mostly messy. As more kid-friendly PR is, its consistent tone and more focus on their main themes, instead of going off on mushroom-haircut-induced greed adventures do make it more effective for me.

Quick side note, I do like Abbaranger, it just has a few kinks, Abbarekiller probably the biggest.

That reminds me of a very unpopular opinion of sorts I have in regarding Abare Killer from Abaranger that I have in my head for quite a while ever since I finished the series and that is I don't honestly don't think Abare Killer should be considered as the show's sixth ranger especially since by the time he did turn good and joined the team, while a very awesome moment in of itself, it's way too damn late. At best, I find him to be more of an extra ranger on par with Wolzard Fire, Rio, and Mele than anything else. Plus, there are other characters in Sentai I find to be more of a sixth ranger than him like Black Knight Hyuuga from Gingaman and GekiViolet as well as GekiChopper from, well, Gekiranger. At least his Power Rangers counterpart is a more straight forward sixth ranger and that Dino Thunder even went the extra mile when they clearly didn't even have to by having the villains create an evil clone of said ranger and not have him be a one-and-done antagonist for the rangers to fight against which is a very good way to still utilize plenty of action footage of Abare Killer still being very much a villain while the DT White Ranger managed to turn good and being able to redeem himself. This, in turn, have the season be able to kill birds with one stone. Personally, I think this is one of several cases where Power Rangers was able to one-up Super Sentai.
