Dezast is a wildcard and not really controllable by the Megid. Evidenced by Dezast telling Rintarou and Mei early in the series what the Megid were up to. Calibur Daichi originally owned the Dezast Alter Ride book, which was I can assume was sealed by SOL or was given to him by Storious, he released him to basically do his bidding.
