"Fangire" is also laudably dumb, as far as monster names go. It'd be like doing a lycanthrope season and having the monsters be called Clawolves. It's a portmanteau that feels like the monsters really wanted some branding they could control, a trademarkable calling card. It's real business-minded, which I guess makes sense if you're a group of monsters that've existed since/during the go-go 1980s.

But, hell, if you run the risk of being devoured by a Dinosaur Cathedral for the benefit (or detriment?) of Zanki, you are allowed to be a little gaudy in your presentation. I mean, you're already a decorative vampire monster! Just go all the way!
