It definitely felt more reminiscent of Hibiki than anything on Kabuto. The Tsurugi stuff was always played as a joke about Tsurugi's cluelessness and pride. Here, it's a story about a kid who feels burned out and dissatisfied with his current path, and meets a passionate instructor in the mountains who gives him support and guidance. That sounds way more like Hibiki to me!

Yeah, I think Megumi Is Hot-Tempered is one of the core aspects of her character. She's someone who, in I think one of her first onscreen interactions with our heroes, got into an argument with actual children? The idea that she'd immediately get into an argument with a woman she just get met (and, it turns out, really admires!) sounds exactly right to me.

Oh, man, an ending where IXA is suddenly able to steal Garulu Saber from mid-air? And then use it to pummel both Kiva and a Fangire? That is bonkers! That is a story turn I am going to remember for a while!
