Oh, you are amazing and have estimated my taste correctly! I did watch some of the Patlabor OVAs, but it was a long, long time ago, probably around the same time I was introduced to Ghost in the Shell, so I could absolutely do with a refresher!

MY. GOSH. I just finished reading volume #9 of the comic this weekend, and I swear nothing released in the last few years has hit me like Made in Abyss. I've been buying these books pretty much as soon as they are released and I finished watching the short series over Christmas last year, and... I have so, so many feelings about the beauty and horror of this work, it is just so, so very visceral.
