I watched the anime semi-recently.

I can stomach a lot of stuff, but the scene in which that one character gets poisoned and the other tries to save her made me so physically uncomfortable that I almost threw up.

There’s some straight up nightmare fuel later as well but it never made me as uneasy as the poison scene. Because that stuff got real way too quickly.

I'm afraid I don't know. The situation in Germany is that the movies got released on Blu-Ray and - that’s it. It was quite a while ago too so I actually don't own a single piece of Patlabor because I can't buy it anywhere.

Haven’t seen it anywhere for streaming either. The US and UK might be in more luck though, I think there was an "Ultimate" package which literally included everything and you have more streaming services so someone may have it?

The only thing that seems readily available is a live-action adaption, most likely because it sucks.
