Okay that's a great edit. Also yeah, I'm definitely in this line of thought too. Just the way he's essentially non-existent in any of the Flashbacks we see with Gauma. His cryptic lines, the fact that he's been the only one to really confront both Yomogi and Yume.

Also just other minor things, how he's gently pushing things along without making it too obvious. The fact that he see's a failed Kaiju and corrals his gang into just having two days off to keep them distracted. I'm curious if this particular Kaiju was his end goal, or if killing it will have repercussions that'll be brought up next episode.

I just found it eerie how we don't get to see the Kaiju Eugenicists side of things after the Kaiju this week dies. Like, we usually get a brief bit of them after their plan goes up in smoke, but not this time.
