Depending on where the Nago/Megumi stuff heads, I can even sort of see the story of Nago confronting his limitations as something that's in-line with Maya's skeptical views of the value of self-sacrifice and caring for others.

Or, y'know, Nago can just go on a random button rampage again. One or the other!

I mean, in that case, I assume it makes a huge difference to Castle Doran and the Arms Monsters! I don't want to see an emaciated CGI monstrosity shuffle onto the screen in, like, Episode 38 just because Kiva's been obliterating its food source!
