Episode 28 "Matchless Zhuge Liang

Much like episode 22 this is a one-off episode mostly used as a way to show the inner workings and failings of the new dynamic of Liu Bei the Hero pieces and Zhuge Liang. Having much more strict standards in comparison to Xu Shu. His training is to prove how draining carrying 5 pieces is for Liu Bei giving him an ultimatum of putting away 4 of the pieces only using 1 for battle. Naturally, Liu Bei refuses to do any of this and an off-hand sarcastic mention of running 200 times and Liu Bei does exactly that to raise his power. On the flip side there Cao Cao and this episode finally have his first real loss and it’s against Liu Bei the person he dimmed as the weakest. How will their character dynamic shift go forward? Will he still clings to the image of a weak naive Liu Bei or will he be forced to take him more seriously? At the end of the day, Zhuge Liang feels like he understood Xu Shu and Liu Bei better and it seems like Liu Bei has finally begun to let go of his guilt. Also is it just me or does this new Magic Bracelet remind anybody of the Strium Bracelet from Ultraman Ginga S?
