Oh man, I'd have to really think about what I'd consider worst Toku, though there are definitely some contenders. Second half Hibiki ain't doing itself any favors though!

I will probably defend the first technically-less-than-half of Turbo more though in terms of ''hated sections of toku shows'' (lol) considering in my view that first morphing sequence was so much better for having actual morphing than a lot of PR ones which can seem a bit generic and while I like the second team for TJ and Cassie I also like the first team for Adam and Tanya, I can acknowledge Tommy's character was getting a bit stupid by then though!

There were things to like in both halves of Turbo. It is very hard to find things to like in the Inuoe part of Hibiki.

Like, I wouldn't mind it so much if it were just one-off movie form, but bringing it into the mainline continuity not only serves to get rid of the musical theming that the show had, but also replaces the inherent coolness of Hibiki's' fire sword. Armed Hibiki is so much lesser than Crimson Hibiki.

Adding to that is Hibiki becoming alot dumber than he was in the first half too, as well as the show going out of its way to try and justify the behaviors of the toxic characters. Because you know, that's a great lesson for the kids watching.

That is like the one thing I'll give the second half. Moving the fights into the city is actually not totally out of the blue, as in the first half there is a scene where the party discusses how the Makamou seem to be gunning for urban areas alot more.

Of course, the huge downside is that we totally lose most of the pretty scenery and camera shots that helped make the first half so nice to look at.
