While yeah it's a horrible moral that is employed by Hibiki, I feel like this is common stuff in many Rider series...

The difference is that most secondary Riders at the very least have arcs. They often do get called out for being a jerk and learn lessons as time goes on. Not so much with Kiriya. He starts a total douche, remains a total douche, and yet is framed a someone we're meant to sympathize with and root for. Trash.

Too little too late. And again, Kiriya never grows nor learns from anything, much less the very minor punishments you listed.
