And, like, she didn't shoot him in the face or push him into traffic. She stomped on the foot of a man who treated her with less respect than she deserved. I think Otoya would agree that she had a point.
Of course, I did say "Though the one on receiving end for this is Otoya, a casanova though". I refered to the part of this being a lesson to kids being said after that, not Otoya, of course Otoya deserved that, let him get his just desserts.... well even Otoya to women isn't 100% respectful...

I really liked the Yuri/Wataru scene! The rest of the episode was weirdly only adequate!
I’m going to have a tough time explaining why the rest of the episode wasn’t anything too exciting for me. I mean, it’s full of big things: Bishop tells Taiga that he was the one who killed Mio. Bishop decides to overthrow Taiga, because systems can’t tolerate what they can’t control. King vows to kill Taiga if Maya stays with Otoya. Otoya becomes Dark Kiva twice, and probably dies from the attempt. Wataru gets punched in the gut by his dad. It’s a big episode!
I guess that comes very quick, Taiga's grudge to Wataru is solved by how Bishop's the true killer for Mio. And this is a big downfall and stupidity for Bishop, this'll be something that turns the Fangire against his advantage! However of course, Bishop has sociopathic traits, not wanting to admit his faults, viewing Taiga’s attempt to kill Wataru (Bishop's job to protect him from ursurper) as a betrayal and a sign that he wasn’t worthy of being a king including draining people's souls here, as well as valuing Fangire law without empathy like what he did to Mio.

Inevitable?
There’s a fatalism to it, exemplified by Otoya’s insistence on killing himself for Maya/Taiga/himself. (The previous episode,
where Wataru was trying to negate his own existence
, managed to be a fun lark by comparison.) Otoya’s always been devoted to his own whims, to the exclusion of common sense or basic decorum, but here it comes off as frustratingly obstinate. Otoya is going to become Dark Kiva to save Taiga, even though a) it’ll kill him, b) it won’t even defeat King, c) Wataru is more than willing to pitch in to defeat King and keep Otoya alive. It’s a suicidal plan that won’t even succeed, but the show treats it as laudably heroic, a testament to Otoya’s belief in self-determination.
I guess Otoya has been suicidal before by taking on King after his friends are sealed, with IXA, not Dark Kiva. IXA is an ordinary Rider, not a broken one like Dark Kiva (Kiva Emperor isn't necessarily more powerful). I'd say Otoya is really impulsive here, as he probably had not gotten into grip for Dark Kiva's power, straight up using it to fight King right away. I mean of course there's no time to try as Dark Kiva will kill ordinary humans. But well, this shows a
miracle determination
that Otoya doesn't die right away by turning into Dark Kiva yet, despite the claim that it'll instantly kill humans. I'd think that Otoya turning into Dark Kiva may actually succeed Wataru's plan to eliminate himself, what I concerned was about, Otoya and Maya haven't married yet at this time and give birth to Wataru?

It’s a fun way of getting at how we project our guilt onto other people - letting their memories judge us harshly - when it’s easy to forget how they might forgive us. Wataru’s been too caught up in his own guilt to remember that Mio wouldn’t’ve wanted him to have never existed, wouldn’t’ve wanted to have never been able to meet him. It’s the same way Yuri doesn’t regret dating Otoya, even though it didn’t last. Big-hearted optimism from Yuri (her only scene in this episode!) will always be worth savoring.
Wataru's so caught up in eliminating himself to save Mio that he forgot that Yuri herself is going through the same thing, but not about death, but breakup. I know Wataru doesn't handle his emotions well, and this I'd see as a case. This is not exactly an idol/mentor and apprentice situation, but this plays out like one as Yuri tries to speak to Wataru here (with Wataru also opening up), she inspires Wataru to give up on the quest to eliminate himself for his love, by thinking that Mio won't necessarily want that as she won't meet Wataru. I guess Mio can be inevitably killed if Fangires sooner or later will approach her and force her role as the Queen with her being reluctant to do it, which'd make Wataru's quest still go wrong, but Taiga also may protect her but she can be living an unhappy life instead, probably highlighting that saving life isn't necessarily a good thing for them.
