Here's my counter for that, having seen the entire series beforehand. And as you get in, I don't know if your opinion will change but... I think Episode 1 presents the board as clear as possible when it comes to what's going to come. Cause I'm telling you this now, do not expect SSSS.Gridman 2 in like... how this series goes about presenting itself and what exactly it's going for specifically.

Like I definitely had the same feelings coming in, and these were my first episode thoughts.

But like funnily enough looking back on this episode in full (I would go back and have the the fight of the episode on repeat cause I really love Dynazenon) it actually sets up everything this series is going for, pretty well. It establishes the base of what we're going to be seeing basically.

Now thoughts on Dub Actors... I'd agree with Yomogi sounding a bit off? I feel like his voice is a bit too deep at some points, but he does some good line reads.

They managed to snag a good one for Gauma though, that being said it's a shame they didn't keep what the original Japanese version did. Which was right at the peak of the "Rex Roar!" callout for the finisher the Gauma's yell of the word "Roar" echoes constantly while going lower right up until before the monster explodes.
