Damn you Over-Time for making that Assassin's Creed joke had me thinking it was part of the script!

It's a genius move of letting the Shindai siblings be the guest of the special since they were vastly underutilized in Saber. I wonder if the actual Superhero Senki will acknowledge this special? If so maybe the Kamen Rider Gears can appear again, since it feels like Sentai got the short end of the stick in that movie since Saber is the only one that has a special form.

At the very least Gaim had the series letting the viewer knows that the plot is stopped to make way for the special episode iirc.
