Personally I think the first episode alone doesn't do the show justice. Not a matter of good or bad per se, but they don't showcase everything. Episode 2 is where the villains are introduced so definitely best to watch the first two as if it was a two-parter. And if you are an Evangelion fan, you are in for a treat cause the recurring guest character Kyoko is played by Yuko Miyamura aka the voice of Asuka in the original Japanese dub of Evangelion. She apparently is a huge toku fan.

I’ve watched more since last time, and I’m actually really digging it now! I really like how this show emphasizes rescuing civilians, it is a really refreshing take for a Sentai show.
