But basically Zenmarket is a proxy site, so they buy goods on your behalf.

You give them money to buy the thing. They charge you a ¥300 service fee for each item. You also have to pay for shipping from seller to Zenmarket warehouse*.

*This fee is not always easy to find, and sometimes it's not even calculated until the item ships. But in this case, the seller has listed that the shipping is ¥510 nationwide.

Then once the item arrives at the ZM Warehouse, you pay for shipping from them to you. Again, you won't know this until after you bought the item. You can make an estimation based on weight, but ZM will quote you before you have to commit.

So the total will be ¥5310 before shipping.

Also worth noting is that Zenmarket works on a balance/credits system. You put money into your account and then spend it. Rather than spend when you buy something. This can cause a lot of issues when you put money into your account and then lose an auction. You get your money back, but its as a credit. Adding more funds and withdrawing funds have associated fees.

Because you essentially pay for shipping twice, and there's no fee to consolidate orders (unlike some other sites) Zenmarket is good for ordering a bunch of stuff. But small candy toys on their own will end up with more fees and shipping than the item it worth.

I still recommend their service but be very careful about scams and bad Yahoo Auction sellers. You have very little protection and recourse if something goes wrong.
