This probably isn’t the first time he’s used the attack (been a while since Gridman), but Gridknight’s Knight Light-wave Missiles shares its Japanese name with an attack used by Anti’s inspiration Shinobilar (to distinguish the two, Shinobilar’s is directly translated as “Explosive Light-wave Bullets”)

The 2nd’s use of the Fixer Beam is animated almost identically to a scene from episode 6 of OG Gridman (for clarity, in that episode, our resident introvert decides that his vendetta of the week is against the music store, so he tries sending a monster in to make the amplification unbearable, which is abruptly stopped when the monster Anosillus turns out to be living in there and destroys the monster he sends. So he improvises by using a keytar to brainwash Anosillus into doing what he wanted to do and as Gridman is about to destroy the monster, it turns out there’s a humanoid woman named Muse also living in the computer world, who tries doing that same ritual to remove the brainwashing.)
