[Switchblade]

I think this arc is Decade's first big misfire. I said with Kiva that there are tributes that really find and build off of some of the original show's concepts and some that don't. This is definitely one that didn't. It feels like someone just looked at a list of things that were in Ryuki and tossed them into the script: "Okay, we have a battle royale, a lawyer, and some journalists. I guess it's world where Kamen Riders battle to decide court cases and also there are some journalists?" It all feels so random and completely disconnected from the show it's trying to homage. If it weren't for the suits and the presence of a Ren and a Shinji, there's little about this that says Ryuki.

I also cannot get over what an incredibly stupid idea the Kamen Lawyer system is. It's like someone took the concept of trial by combat and found a way to make it even more unfair and arbitrary.
