Yes, Alain! He's great. He became a quick favorite even before he got the Mega Ulorder. Mostly because friends both online and offline were hyping him up for me, and also me already seeing his suit in pics is always good fun. Necrom is a gorgeous suit.

It could've been handled better, is all I'd say I think. I may have liked the end part about his family and realizing his mistakes when he didn't take over the show as the antagonist for the most of it. It was either he goes away early or he's introduced much, much later.

Point is he's a main character I've come to love a lot between what SH Ranger is outlining and his very staunch connection to life. There's a lot of wonderful moments of vulnerability too; such as early on in the Edison episode where he's really contemplating what being a ghost means for him, and in the Toucon episode where he's slowly breaking down in the lead-up to his death. A lot of this is owed to his actor's excellent performance and he's a wonderfully human character by the end of it all

Oh I never really completely wavered on Takeru's conflict in the show. Very understandable to me what he was going through. Just that he kept dying. Well, not that he really kept dying left and right, it was more so 3-4 times he did it, basically. And the show kept telling "He's dead! Look at him! He can't eat dinner! It was so painful each time he died!" when it looked like they kinda shrugged it off when he died for the third time.

Maybe I was looking for a little more weight to it. I love the idea of the main rider dying and becoming a Ghost through the show's course, him dealing with the idea he might cease to exist from his friends and family much much early.

I did hear about the original ideas of Ghost being a much darker show. With how he was presented in Surprise Future, and him being more Ghost-like. I would have loved that take.

He's a lot similar to Touma now that I think about it. Selfless, self-sacrificing hero with a genuine smile, tied to a pre-determined conclusion of they keep doing what they do. And I think that's cool that they have their similarities, I would love more interactions between Takeru and Touma.

But something clicked with Touma that didn't with Takeru. Maybe it's the fantasy theme, maybe because I have a Saber flag waving around, but that's what I thought.

Takeru was beaten down emotionally and mentally over his schtick as a Ghost, it affected his friends and family too. I can't explain it thoroughly, but maybe we should've had even more moments of Takeru just breaking down, more of him stop existing to his friends (I liked those parts), and just struggling with his physicality. It's also why I liked the first arc, he struggles with his own goal with Makoto's, it was burdening his close ones as well when he would stop showing up, where they don't even know if he was in the same room. That was great!

Touma is similar to that. We start with him beating the bad guys, gaining new allies and friends, and then it all gets torn apart when Kento starts acting up, when he caused a misunderstanding with the SOL and gets ousted. Yuri literally planning to use him as a sacrifice to save the world. He's beaten down physically, mentally, and philosophically. He stops spouting about promises right after Calibur is revealed to be Kento. He switched from "Yakusoku" to "Kanarazu".

But enough about compare/contrasting. I want to talk about the other stuff.

The suits are GORGEOUS and are handled beautifully for a good while! The parka change is a great way of form changing and a little more pleasing on the eyes than, say, Ex-Aid's levels and Saber's Wonder Riders. Tho, DragonHedgePeter is still cool. Love that it shows up in SHS.

And they don't go away! Takeru receives Toucon boost and then he still keeps form changing! The individual Parkas get their own physical suits to fight in instead of CGI Parka, it's great!

Necrom is one of my favorites alongside Mugen and Grateful. I don't want to keep it long, but I love the colors and both those three's shoulders. My only complaint, and Deep Specter shares this, is the material. Seeing the glossy foil-like material used for their parkas start wrinkling, it's not a good sight!

Go Sakabe is great as always, it's a satisfying moment when the choir starts singing for Takeru's theme song. There are some weird edits, though, like Necrom's theme playing as he gets beaten down and not have a big moment, but the music isolated is great.

I love Aoi Yuuki, I don't typically talk about VAs often in anywhere. But Aoi Yuuki is one of my favorites. Maybe there were other ventures that I'm not aware of, but my first venture with her was as Madoka in, well, Madoka Magica and I loved there. Then it was Tanya Degurechaff, then Froppy from MHA, then some I can't name bcuz small brain but some commercials here and there, and then to Hibiki from Symphogear.

I know how Aoi Yuuki sounds, I know how Yurusen sounds, but I didn't know the two were in the same until around the 10s of Ghost. And now I love Yurusen, and it was such a whiplash for me that Aoi- I mean Yurusen was a cat all along!
