Yeah it's different directors, the saber crossover was Ishida (a veteran director for Rider, he's done a lot of episodes for a lot of shows), while this episode was Revice's head director Takayuki Shibasaki

I gotta agree, the action scenes really popped in this episode, the directing really did it for me in this one

I wonder if for the crossover they didn't have a lot of time to play around with making the suits really pop? I guess it makes sense though that the head director for revice really wanted to frame the suits as best as he could for the premiere, so maybe it just comes down to Shibasaki giving it his all, he did a great job imo
