Auto Vajin showing up and being helpful, rather than trying to murder Faiz, was maybe the most DID YOU EVEN

FAIZ moment of the story for me. Just a top-shelf failure.

His design was a crazier look from the Decade aesthetic, he had a cool gun, and his theme song is good (of course, I kind of like Ride The Wind a little better). I don't entirely get Tsukasa's beef with him, even after the show, and the sea cucumber line still loses me, probably not high on my list of Secondary Riders, but I don't think he's the worst. But at least his Final Form Rides are a little more interesting (at least not as weird as Decade messing with the other Riders).
I can't speak to the whole arc of their story, but I can hazard a guess as to why Decade and Diend don't get along:
they're both monumental assholes
. Kaitou couches his selfishness in a more pleasant exterior, but he's equally dismissive of others as Tsukasa is. They're both unable to work with people because they have too high of a regard for their own abilities, and they've each made their goals far too personal. They very similar... and also manipulative pricks. Like,
I'm not sure there's a lot to unpack in this rivalry.
