Only certain people are making it political. The rest of us are celebrating and we're told not to because either Power Rangers is for kids and kids don't "need to see that" (despite experiencing those feelings at a Power Ranger age level) or that it's some kind of agenda or being gay is just wrong.

Fans: We want more representation and mature instances and themes in our kids show.

Other fans: Wait, not like that.

Again, and this bears repeating. Having LGTBQ representation in Power Rangers is not an agenda, it's not political. It doesn't matter what you think about it, because the people in charge signed off on it after nearly 30 years. In addition, kids who watch Power Rangers are starting to feel a certain way about others. That's what a "crush" is. It doesn't necessarily mean it's sexual in nature.

And, Power Rangers has its adult LGBTQ fans and just people who aren't gay in the least and are happy to see representation.

So, maybe y'all can stop making it political and let us have this moment.
