You can only call it a problem if it's done with literally no substance or soul other than checking a box on a list to please investors. Then it does nothing for anyone and only makes the community you failed to properly represent look bad because you couldn't be bothered to approach the topic in a way that didn't feel like pandering to suits and that community ends up paying for it as a result.
