There's basically no explanation for Yuuto's significance in this movie. He matters to Deneb, and there's that joyous reunion at the end, but nothing that says This Is Dude Is Normally A Kamen Rider. It ends up not really mattering, since the entire point is that the bond between Deneb and Yuuto transcends contracts and superheroes, but we never even see Yuuto henshin into Zeronos.

I was legitimately shocked that Decade left in the middle of the climactic battle. And he does it with this weirdly self-satisfied air? Like, he's all Mission Accomplished when everyone else is trying not to get shot out of the sky by a magic warship. It's maybe too far?

Yuuto's relationship with Toki mostly didn't work for me because Toki plays everything that's transpiring in a happy-go-lucky way, and Yuu plays everything that's happening with a hollowed-out sense of sorrow. He's putting a lot of weird weight on this random woman he just met, and we as the audience have no idea what his mom was like, to be able to see the connection.

It just came off mildly uncomfortable to me. This kid is making some ancient archer out to be his new mom? And his new mom also has a bit of a death wish?
