The tone for this story isn't Hibiki, it's Decade Talks About Why Hibiki Is Great, and that made me a lot more accepting of the ways it goes more playful and borderline ridiculous. (Ibuki and Zanki are basically the parody versions of themselves.) There's a ton of respect for Hibiki The Series in these episodes, which was very nice.
