I've never played Kingdom Hearts for more than 2 minutes, but... MAN it is impossible to downplay how significant this is and how important it is for a lot of people. I was not expecting them to bring up the Smash Poll again and it's very heartwarming to see this end with them bringing to life something they had been directly told was one of the biggest requests for the game, but which they couldn't do before; but which they could do now!

And like. So much had to go into this with how much Disney owns. Every single music track and reference would have to go through them and involve a fair amount of money, and that would have to be justified to Nintendo as something people would have demand for.
