I know that feeling. Kinda sucks, but it's not like you can control it.
I got burnt out around the tail end of Gaim, but the story kept me invested enough to finish it.
Didn't get back into it for 4 years, when I decided to go back and watch Kabuto and Agito rather than try and keep up with an ongoing series.
