Oh man you don't even know. One of the reasons that post ended up being so late was because I'd keep getting distracted from actually writing it by how intensely nostalgic I was over the show. Like, at one point, I ended up watching a compilation of all the episode previews because I watched this show in a week and only consciously remember a handful of individual plots, and then like, I saw the one for Ran's first focus episode and, like, it ends with her saying her whole "突きこそ基本！魂込めて！"catchphrase, and like, even though I had forgotten about this stuff consciously, it immediately started coming back to me how much I liked that episode, and GAAAHHHH I really do like Gekiranger, is the point!

I have to stop before I go on forever again, but it's crazy to think how many details in this show have slipped my mind over the years. I feel like if I went back to rewatch it, and actually gave myself room to digest each episode, I'd somehow like it even more than I already do, and I don't even know how that would be possible.

From what I've heard about Jungle Fury, it seems like it's actually a shining example of how Power Rangers can balance loyalty to the source material with doing its own thing? I haven't seen much of the show proper, but it's always come off to me like it's secretly one of the more considered PR shows out there despite not having the largest or most vocal fanbase.
