While everyone can see miles ahead that Fenix will be bad at some point, or at least be veeeeeeeery shady, this ep. sure accelerated a lot about that.
Hiromi got trashed and demoted in the first 2 eps by George and Yujiro, because Stamps got stolen, because he failed at using the Revice Driver. Now there was 2 stamps stolen by one of their own men again and suddenly both of them are like : "okay take this driver we didn't want to give Daiji few ep ago, we're sure you can use it even if you failed few days ago with the other one. No problem"
way way too fast for such a difference of treatment, even if it can probably be explained by whatever scheme they're planning.

That is a little strange, after George was all like, "You? The guy who chickened out on the Revice Driver?!", to Daiji. I thought that was implying the Demons Driver would have an equal or higher prerequisite, so I'm curious why he suddenly deems Hiromi to be a suitable candidate, even though his motivation to right his error is pretty similar to Daiji's, who got shutdown by Wakabayashi for using that as a reason.

Wow, I was so busy being surprised about seeing Tekken 7 after the cold open that I didn't even consider the possibility that it was symbolic. Hitoshi as Kazuya loses to Heihachi, representing the way his father tries to dominate his life and future career and even Kazuya being host to the Devil Gene (albeit from matrilineal side). Great observation!

She might think that humanity is too reserved and that bringing people in to Gif's family will give them the "freedom from false happiness" she talks about, by encouraging them to only live selfishly and put what they want before anything else, like for Ayaka not tolerating her mother's neglect. So Aguilera would see her goal as heroic in that way, while ignoring the obviously harmful effect that would have on relationships. Seeing something broken and instead of trying to fix it, just destroy it and replace it with Gif.

Furthermore, Daiji is the second character to be credited in the OP. Hiromi wasn't even planned to become a Rider or survive the first episode, which makes him lucky to have the Tertiary Rider designation at all.

I have no defense against that. You're right, there really is little need for Jackal Genome. Especially when you consider that Vice in his civilian form can already possess objects like a bicycle or a cellphone. Maybe he's just going to give that Vistamp to Kagerou in the next episode, for no other reason than he doesn't have to use it anymore.

EDIT: How did I forget to mention the Machine parallel?! Jackal is a Scorcher.
