I was thinking about the budgeting too earlier, I was almost thinking that it wouldn't be too expensive as long as the rangers are humanoid, since they could just rig some 3D models and do mo-cap rather than hiring animators, but obviously if they're going to bother to get actors to do mo-cap it would be just as easy and likely cheaper still to just have the rangers be suits like the Kikanoids (plus regular suit actors in suits would be much more in toei's wheel house production wise)

Mo-Cap would only be worth it if it was a stylistic decision rather than a practical or budget based decision, which isn't impossible I guess but yeah idk

Like I said earlier I'm trying not to get too attached to any rumour... and with some more critical thought it does seem like the CGI rumour may be just a rumour, or at best a half truth and like you said it'll be smth like Vice? Like maybe they'll use CGI for some specific purpose, but they won't be CGI most of the time, because you're right, having full CGI characters every episode would probabaly be more expensive or more hassle than it would be worth
