It was incredibly hype at the time, a lot of people got into Gaim hard, but I just don’t think it has enough staying power to be a lot of people's favorites. Enough staying power to print cash? Sure. But for the absolute favorite among all? Nah.

I think it's because most people tend to agree that Gaim falters in the final act. After a decent start, a very strong core, and a pretty good beginning to the end, the final portions of Gaim really didn't win people over.

Not that people think it's bad, per se, but that it was a rather lackluster one as multiple fan favorites fade into the background, characters that do remain active have little impact beyond punching grunts while Gaim becomes a literal god, and Baron's character goes off the rails.
Honestly, Gaim becoming god is the epitome of missing the characters' point, considering he spends most of the series talking about sticking together and how teamwork is strength

Gaim is a good show and people love it, but when Double, OOO, Ex-Aid, and Build are all flexing their muscles, it's cracks really start to show
