Here's the thing. The lawyer wanted to explain to Ikki that he did not make the deal for the sake of money, but to be successful in his business. And when Ikki replied that he did not see the difference, he was offended and said about the lack of empathy. Which is kind of true: Ikki really doesn't understand people well, even his family.
But here's the catch: before that, the lawyer entered the bathhouse with his shoes on, which was emphasized. That is, he demands respect from Ikki, but he himself does not show it. And this is already hypocrisy, conscious or not. So Weiss is right about not listening to this guy.
