Gai was mimicking the pose that Fourze is teaching to the Go-Busters and coming across as rather adorkable. Though, that could be my personal bias talking.

Admittedly, that particular bit along with the latter two effectively becoming besties is one of the film’s better moments and without going into spoilers regarding the next Super Hero Taisen movie after it, this won’t be the last time you see Gai having some sort of role in the story in some capacity.
