It really is. The DX looks like a dagger by comparison and the symbols in the middle of the emblems are the size of my palm. It's also much louder and brighter despite still only using 3 AAA batteries. Wish I'd been able to afford the Japanese release but this has the three basic Henshin sounds, the three sword slash sounds, three single read sounds, and 9 hisatsu finish (for each emblem if you hold the trigger it starts the finisher, 1st time is the base book, 2nd is two books, 3rd is all three for that character.)
