Yep, Olteca is a total bastard. Sometimes, you don't need to have a tragic backstory to be evil, as was the case with Julio/Tamaki.
The reason Olteca turned to evil was because he felt he was better than everyone. Plus the fact that twice now he effectively killed someone dear to someone in front of them, while also threatening them, in Tamaki's case, to do the same thing. That's insanely low.
I really hope he doesn't get some redemption arc, just...no, just no.
