Oh, that was the best episode though. I guess some people overlook that Gai never was even really redeemed, no one really forgave Gai, just tolerated him. Episode 39 is still one of the best episodes, too.

Anyway, I do agree though that Orteca deserves no redemption. He's got a pretty nice body count now, and basically just needs to be stopped at this point. And I think him showing backstory basically says that he doesn't deserve it either, it's him saying "whaaaa No OnE UnDeRsTAnDs MEeEe!!" and is the perfect kind of individual who gets roped into these cults.
