Maybe this really similar to villain group replacement in Goseiger.

Seeing the whole situation with Gifu, I don't think he'll become a major issue until he gets Aguilera's contract (Or her life). And seeing as how they currently have an uneasy alliance with the Igarashi family, I don't see that happening until the final quarter.

And I don't think it'll hit Goseiger levels of villain swap. Most every series has a villain bounce and a new big bad hit. Spider Undead starting his rise as the villain in Blade, Dr. Maki starts upending the Greeed as the villain in OOO, Evolt making his moves in Build, etc etc.
