But yhe entire premise of Ex-Aid forming a superhero team in order go into a tournment fighther is genuinley one the best idea the Taisen movie ever had in order to mitigate the hero vs hero conflict in these movies. And we just skip over most of the tournment. Like seriosuly if you watch any of the trailers that wad main selling point of the movie. Like with Heisei vs Showa the whole generational battle was at the forefront of the movie. Or Taisen GP had a big race at the very end. But this we skip over it especially since there alot of fun teams they made for this movie we never saw in action.

That would've been fun... but then you'd have to cut all of the Hiiro stuff. (Although, Hiiro loves cutting stuff...) The main problem this movie has is that the tournament part is all Emu, and the emotional throughline is all Hiiro. If you want more of one, you need to have less of the other. A tournament structure could work - and it would arguably work better than a movie with a unsympathetic victim and Here's Shocker I Guess - but... uh... hmm. I don't have anything after that em dash. I'd probably rather they devote a movie to a tournament structure, and leave the small story about Hiiro's icy demeanor to an episode or V-Cin or whatever.
