I randomly was in the mood for a 70s Super Robot series, so I started Muteki Choujin Zambot 3. At only 23 episodes long, I'm hoping it avoids the usual pitfalls of 70s super robot shows. I've also heard it gets pretty dark (for a 70s kids show, at least) and I'm excited about that.

The first episode was okay, I guess. It didn't do a great job introducing the characters, but the robot fight was pretty good. What really stood out to me, though, was the scene where the cop car crashes and explodes, and the kid was slightly horrified at what happened. It sets up that there's a bit of an edge to this series, and I'm looking forward to seeing that aspect unfold.
