It's actually sort of insane that Toei didn't try to do a Net-Videos thing for this tournament. There are a million voice actors they couldn't get back, but I'd love to have seen a bunch of five-minute battles, with the returning announce team of Ryutaros's Voice Actor and Narutaki (from the exceptionally good Decade Net-Movies) calling the action.

God, I liked this movie, but literally every If Only They'd Have makes me like it less.

Yeah, and they go hard on weird jokes and callbacks in this movie, especially in the formation of Ex-Aid's team. Like - and I hope you all appreciate how I went to look this gag up - AoNinger suggests that Emu pick MagiYellow as the team's Yellow, but Emu accidentally picks Beet Buster instead... who is played by the same actor who played MagiYellow.

I just wish we'd gotten to spend a little more time with Emu's incredibly weird team of misfits! Or maybe had them matter at all in Hiiro's storyline!

This movie becomes at least 15% better if its official title is Super Duper Hero War.

It's a mixture of diminishing Rider options (I'm almost current!), Stockholm Syndrome (maybe it's okay to kidnap someone if someone else says it's for a good reason?), and Inoue Forever. If DonBrothers had a different creative team, I'd probably stay Sentai-free until 2023 at the earliest.
