Yeah, it... so many of these shows are designed to take one character (or team) on one specific metaphorical journey, squaring them off against a specific metaphorical adversary. Continuing their story past the series finale starts to feel like Moby Dick 2, you know? Once you've completed your character arc and defeated the enemy that represented something universal and cautionary, what point is there in more conflict? Like, Haruto triumphed over the embodiments of despair, bringing hope to the hopeless... now fight some space robots or historical warlords or something idk
