[Fish Sandwich]

Man, I can't believe Kari-chan cheaped out and only made a copy of the movie on DVD. I hope Hiromi doesn't mind remembering his life as a Rider entirely in 480p from here on!

Anyways, this was a very cute episode.

I have fundamental issue with the premise, which seems to presume the audience remembers the reveal that Hiromi survived that fall and went back to his home... you know, from when they announced his Blu-ray spinoff that isn't even out yet, and not from when they *showed* us that in the show, because they never did? Against all odds, this might not actually be a huge problem in execution, but on principle, I don't think that's a dramatically satisfying way to craft a narrative, and I don't want to just let that slide.

That being said though: it really was a very cute episode! It's got a nice comedic flow to it as everyone scrambles to put their dumb movie together; as a clip show, it's doing its job recapping things nicely enough; and it even works in some nice teases as to where things are going for the series in the future. Like, I have my one big complaint I just mentioned, but that's also maybe the only thing I could complain about here? This was a solidly done breather after last week's big climactic finish to an arc.
