That's a thing that's been building in the background for a while, that the appearance of the Time Orphans as Sougo's friends have helped avert Oma Zi-O's rise, and I like how it's gaining in importance just as Tsukuyomi is determined to kill Sougo. That's a fun development, Sougo's happiness and empathy being a result that Tsukuyomi wanted all along, but she's too terrified to see it.
