I think it's fantastic that half of this story's Time Jacker plot can have an ultra-detailed explanation that directly homages Agito's frequently baffling mythology, and the other half can be filed under IDK Who Even Cares.

It's really good. (Although, I definitely feel like everyone else enjoyed it about 12% more than I did?) I always liked when this show could treat the Legend Riders as mentors (the Ex-Aid arc was an early highlight), so a bigger focus on these middle-aged heroes as Heisei Dads is exactly where I want this show to go. I love how Shouichi gives Sougo the Agito power, instead of losing it and never remembering why. It's a choice this guy makes to literally pass his power on to the next generation, content in his victories and ready to move to the sidelines. It's less Sougo as a brash usurper, and more as the beneficiary of twenty years worth of power and wisdom.

It's nice to end these stories happy for everyone involved, you know?
