My cat isn't like that at all, but I do have a few things to note, cats generally push things off tables when they're feeling ignored as they feel lonely and want you to be with them, which tracks with your story here. Another one is that yelling at a cat scares them as they don't get why you're angry seeing as they can't understand human speech. My cat likes to sit on my lap and such, does yours try to do this? It might be a bit of a pain but I think she just wants your love. Obviously this may not entirely work out seeing as I'm not an expert and have a lazy cat myself, but I hope my post clears something up with behaivours, like, maybe some play time and toys could help
