Some of it's the Yuuto scene in the beginning, because he's specifically travelling back to stop this one event. That alone feels like it's the show saying that this isn't just some fun upgrade that Sougo is having a blast with.

But the other part is that, right after we are urged to Please Get Along With Yuuto, there's this tensely lit scene of Sougo and Woz wondering if Grand Zi-O is the key to stopping Oma Zi-O. The lighting is dim, despite it being the middle of the day. The scene is with the two people who are the most motivated to make an overlord out of Sougo. The emotion in the scene is Contemplative, not Exuberant. It's very much designed to make Grand Zi-O as potentially destructive as Zi-O II.

But, maybe not! Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Wouldn't be the first time!
