I could very easily make my usual statement about how Tsukasa ruins everything, but really, that is so minor in the grand scheme of why I ended up really disliking this three-parter.

This arc made me really worried about the final stretch of a show that, up to now, I was rather enjoying for the most part. A plot that makes no sense, action that does nothing to impress, and characterization that felt like a huge step backwards.

I was excited to have Hiryu back, but yet again, he's given basically no focus in what is supposed to be his arc; Almost like it's done as some unfunny in-joke on the part of the writers. Heck, why is going back in time to save the people on the bus never once even brought up? Not like the laws of causality are at all being thoroughly followed at this point in the show anyway, so why not?

The Time Jacker focus has always been a mess too. They almost had me rooting for Herue around the time of Kikai due to how he was being mistreated and seemed to be wanting to break out on his own due to that... only to completely forget about it, because why give a character an arc, I guess.

Diend is here, and he's always a delight, but at the end of the day, that's it. He's really just here to pad out the run time. What a waste.

Sure, the rooftop scene of Sogo and Geiz is nice and all, but it's severely undercut by nearly an hour and a half of story that I very much did not care for. And pulling this sort of thing now is a huge misstep for a show that I was looking at very fondly up to now give-or-take an arc.

Just, yeah, if this is what the last stretch has to offer, then I have a feeling I'm not about to enjoy these final episodes very much.
