I think his line about clock hands moving even if it looks like they've stayed in place is relevant to this read? Like, he built the world he wanted to see, and he did it to give everyone the best shot at creating their own future. It looks like he's regressed, but he's actually changed for the better. I think it works?

It's okay if you didn't like the finale! Much like Sougo, I am just as happy to see people expressing themselves in opposition to me as I would be in support, as long as they care enough to fight for their viewpoint.
