I've got a certain theory on it that I might drop into KR Thoughts later abt a certain aspect of Revice that causes part of the problem, but yeah, definitely. Ultimate Revice might finally get the ball rolling though, because Vail/Akemi/Hell Gifterian always felt like a "You need (final form) in order to progress the story!" roadblock in a JRPG, to a frustrating degree?

Every Rider show gets Serious at a certain point, but when the last time Rider's been fairly lighthearted? Fourze's the big one, but I almost want to say Ghost was the last one? Some elements of it were a bit dark tho, so I'm not sure...Anyway, I also second a more lighthearted series for 2022, It'd be a fun departure from the dramatic formula they've been using since what? Ex-Aid?

I wonder if Sakura and Ikki's nelgience of their brother in that moment is an intentional set-up that will be addressed or the writers *really* just wanted to set up Daiji's descent to darkness without intervention. They've been pretty good at helping him out up until this point (even if Daiji gets reckless and gets himself hurt in these scenarios) so I wonder what's up....
