It is kind of darkly hilarious how being the "middle child" really did end up defining what Daiji got in terms of focus (so far).

• Ikki's the central protagonist so the show has to follow him.
• Sakura's gets tons of spotlight due to being connected to Weekend, the "good guy" organization, and not only one but two of the Deadmans' trio.
• Daiji however is just stuck with Fenix, and any other character Daiji could've interacted with there either jumped ship (George) or just got blasted through the torso.

The most stark example of this in my opinion being the second half of episode 32 (I think, I might have misremembered the exact number):
When Sakura and Ikki start fighting Aguilera on a rooftop, only for the episode to cut to Daiji running up to a group of Giff Jr.s and defeating them as Holy Live, and then the episode cuts back to Sakura now debating on whether or not to ask Ikki to finish off Aguilera.
